Program

"Technology--It’s everywhere in the Logistics and goods movement industries." Most jobs at all levels in distribution centers heavily rely on the use of technology. Individuals who are competent working with computers and software have the edge when it comes to being hired and promoted.

The Logistics and Technology courses at East Lost Angeles College all have technology components integrated in their content. You’ll learn how both hardware and software are used in the industry. Some of the exciting technology topics covered include:

  • Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Global Information Systems (GIS)
  • Global Positioning Systems (GPS)

ELAC’s Computer Applications and Office Technologies Department offers two certificate programs—Level I and Level 2—to boost your career mobility. The certificate courses can be taken either in-class or online. If students need assistance to prepare them to take online courses, there is CAOT 133: How to Succeed in an Online Course offered in both a classroom setting and online. → download
